Probably the most well know of the Ulf Hagstrom patterns. A semi-realistic mayfly emerger pattern which really puts every other emerger pattern out of business! It has it's obvious influences from the famous Klinkhammer pattern but apart from the fact that most of the fly is underneath the surface there are few similarities between these two patterns. Mimicking the stage where the nymph has just reached the surface and the adult fly is about to try and break free from it's nymphal prison. This is where the insect is as most vulnerable to the fish! Fish it dead drift or give it small twitches, in streams or in still water; this fly will catch fish for you, loads off fish! Designed and tied by the Master, Ulf Hagstrom.
